Nestled in the hills of rural Ireland is a shed, warmed by a log fire and visited by a dog called Sam. From here Jay teaches Yoga, Meditation, Nervous System Regulation and Clinical Somatic Exercise to clients all over the world.

Yoga and Mindfulness

Tailored yoga and mindfulness sessions for individuals and groups. Experience personal transformation by connecting your mind body and soul.

Jay did her yoga and meditation teacher training in the foothills of the Himalayas. She teaches with a classical touch, aiming to respect yogic tradition whilst promoting a gentle approach to the practice.

 

Clinical Somatic Exercise

Interactive workshops to learn gentle, effective exercises that target areas of chronic pain and tension.

Having had the privilege to train under Sarah Warren, (the well esteemed author of "The Pain Relief Secret"  and creator of the Somatic Movement Centre) Jay learned to teach clinical somatics in the style of Thomas Hannah. These exercises are profoundly effective and can be tailored to each individual. 

 

Nervous System Regulation

Neuro-myofascial repatterning, somatic breath-flow and pelvic floor integration. Gentle exercises combined with somatic psychology offer a revolutionary approach to improving overall wellbeing.  

Studying in Barcelona  at the Institute of Applied Somatic with Dr Andrea Traldi, Jay learned to add the somatic psychology element to her practice. These sessions combine anatomy directed somatic exercises, followed by a relaxation period, allowing the body to connect to the subconscious. A truly transformational experience for anyone!

What types of services do you offer?

Sessions are predominantly on-line. All classes can be as part of a group session or for a more personalised touch you can arrange a one to one session.

Jay takes a keen interest in supporting communities and also offers classes at local wellbeing days- details will be posted on the website and The Some Shed social media pages 

Throughout the year The Soma Shed will be holding online and in person workshops and retreats- so keep posted!

How do online sessions work?

Online sessions are conducted via video calls, allowing you to engage in practices from the comfort of your home, with all materials provided digitally. Ordinarily we will use Zoom or WhatsApp video according to the session.

Can I customise my sessions?

Absolutely! All one to one sessions are tailored to your individual needs, ensuring you receive personalised support that fits your specific wellness goals.
